Public School Counseling ProgramThe Public School Counseling Program places trained and supervised master’s level clinicians in public schools to provide counseling to youngsters and their families while working in support of educational staff. The Program serves youth with mental health care needs, including social, emotional and behavioral difficulties. Utilizing an integrated approach, Public School Counselors work to enhance collaborations within the school and with outside agencies to ensure that service efforts complement each other. The following services are provided in coordination with the participating school systems:
Counseling for children is provided within the school building, which offers ease of access and availability in times of greatest need.
