Spruce Point on the Slopes
For the third year, Spruce Point has teamed up with Sugarloaf's Perfect Turn ski school to provide 1:1 support for children ages 3-14 on the autism spectrum who are enrolled in group 'Mountain Magic' or 'Mountain Adventure' classes.
NEW THIS YEAR: The program is FREE
Spruce Point 'Specialists' are specially trained individuals who understand autism. Many work at Spurwink and other agencies, and have backgrounds such as Special Education Teacher, Speech and Language Pathologist, social worker, or direct care worker. They are enthusiastic skiers who provide 1:1 support, and work with the Sugarloaf ski coach to help integrate the child in the lesson.
