This
year, Spurwink Services will serve over 4,500 children and adults through an array
of mental health and educational services. Our clients are of all ages,
come from a wide range of backgrounds and experiences, and have very diverse
needs. Among those we serve are:
- A 3-year-old child with autism who was diagnosed at our Clinic
and now attends our Therapeutic Preschool Program.
- An 8-year-old girl who was severely abused and abandoned by her mother
and is receiving Residential Services and Day Treatment through Spurwink.
- A 15-year-old boy with a history of mental illness who was discharged
to the Spurwink Staff Secure Treatment Home in Brunswick from a psychiatric
treatment facility in New Hampshire.
- A 50-year-old man with developmental disabilities who was once institutionalized
but now lives in a Spurwink Community Residence in Limerick and participates
in Day Services for Adults.
Spurwink's ultimate goal is to help children, adults and families grow and
thrive and meet their human potential. We accomplish that through our
professional expertise, our broad experience with the populations we serve
and with an abundance of caring and commitment.
